Bespoke bridal atelier · Tampa, Florida
A one-person atelier in Tampa. There is no sample rack and nothing to try on: your pattern is drafted from twelve measurements, and the dress is built from scratch around it in the fabric you pick.
If you are in Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Sarasota or anywhere else on this coast, fittings happen at the studio. You try the toile on before anything is cut in the real fabric, and you see the gown at the stages where it still looks like nothing much.
Three of the gowns in the portfolio were worn at Oxford Exchange, on the same wedding day, by the same bride.
Read that projectA base from the collection, a red-carpet photograph, a sketch on a napkin, or a dress in your mother's wardrobe. We reply with what is possible, what it costs, and how long it takes.
Technical sketches for your figure, then fabric in your hands: silk mikado, duchess satin, crepe, taffeta, embroidered lace. Swatches are posted to you before anything is cut.
A pattern drafted from twelve measurements and a mock-up in cheap cloth first, so the shape comes from the seams rather than from darts you can see.
Brides in Tampa come to the studio. Everyone else is fitted on camera, with photographs and video sent at every stage. The Oregon gown was made this way and never tried on until it arrived.
Hand-finished hems and linings, pressed, boxed, and couriered, with a note on how to travel with it and how to get into it on the day.
Four of the thirteen, from the entry model up. Whichever you pick gets redrawn for your figure and your wedding.
